During the weekend of January 3th – 5th, 2020, the Second Annual “Burkie Invitational” Golf Tournament took place. A limited field of 65 golfers were invited to participate in a weekend full of golf and other activities.
The weekend was opened on Friday evening with a ‘Roaring 20s’ Themed Casino Night at The Colony Hotel on Palm Beach. Afterward, some of the party guests met for a drink at Dave’s favorite restaurant, The Seafood Bar at the Breakers Palm Beach.
On Saturday, January 4th, 2020, the second annual golf tournament was opened with ceremonial tee shots from Amy Burke (Dave’s Wife), Ryan Burke (Dave’s Son), Scott and George Burke (Dave’s Brothers), and at the Breakers Ocean Course. Each foursome was given the option to participate in The Amy Flight (Scramble), or the Dave Flight (2 Best Ball) with no handicaps depending on each team’s preference. The golf tournament was followed by an Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception afterward.
